High-voltage electricity
Manufacturing insulators for high-voltage applications requires an absolutely reliable and reproducible manufacturing process. COWEX AG’s glass, fibre and aramide-fibre laminates made been specially developed for this field of use.
COWEX AG laminates are characterised by low water absorption and perfect homogeneity. They are absolutely free of entrapped air.
Filament-wound tubes
In the filament winding process, pre-tensioned resin-impregnated fibres are wound around a mandrel on a CNC machine. The winding process follows a precisely defined geometric pattern. The filament winding construction process aims to make full use of fibre strength and rigidity.

Tubes made using the vacuum process
To achieve particularly high laminate qualities, fibres can be wound dry in the filament winding process and then impregnated in a vacuum.
